§ 2-203. Duties of town commission; inspectors and clerks; proclamation of election.

  • (a)

    The town commission shall make all necessary arrangements for holding all town elections, and shall declare the result thereof.

    (b)

    Inspectors and clerks of election shall be appointed by the town commission, except that, if the town commission shall fail to appoint them at least five days before the date of any election, the mayor may appoint them.

    (c)

    The town commission shall issue a proclamation calling any general, primary or special election, except as otherwise provided for in this article, stating therein where the election shall be held, and naming the different offices to be filled or questions to be decided, and shall cause the proclamation to be posted not less than 30 days prior to such election on the bulletin board of the town hall.
