§ 54-3. Purpose and intent of chapter.

(a)

This chapter is intended to implement and be consistent with the comprehensive plan by requiring that all development in the town be served by adequate public facilities.

(b)

The purpose of this chapter is to:

(1)

Establish a management and monitoring system to evaluate and coordinate the timing and provision of necessary public facilities to service new development and redevelopment; and

(2)

Establish a regulatory program to ensure that each public facility is available to serve new development and redevelopment concurrent with the impacts of development on public facilities.
