§ 42-47. Alteration of speed limits.

(a)

In accordance with F.S. § 316.189, speed limit alterations will be allowed by this article after an investigation has determined that such a change is reasonable and in conformity to criteria promulgated by the state department of transportation.

(b)

The chief of police, or designee shall determine whether, in accordance with F.S. § 316.189, a separate investigation, as described in subsection (a) is required for a residential district;

(c)

No change in established speeds shall take effect until the zone is posted in accordance with law.
