§ 16-1. Intent.

It is the intent of this section to designate certain officials of the town who may declare a local state of emergency and to authorize the taking of certain discretionary emergency measures to respond to such an emergency or to minimize the impact thereof on the town and its residents until a quorum of the town commission is able to meet. The authority for this section is found generally, in F.S. § 252.38(3)(a)(5) and ch. 870, F.S.
