§ 10-2. Town designated bird sanctuary; hunting or molesting birds.

  • (a)

    The entire area embraced by the corporate limits of the town is hereby designated as a bird sanctuary.

    (b)

    It shall be unlawful to hunt, kill, maim or trap, hunt with a slingshot, or attempt to in any manner harm or otherwise molest birds or any wild fowl; or to rob or otherwise molest the nests of birds nesting or located within the corporate limits of the town.

    (c)

    This section does not regulate firearms or ammunitions, as the same are regulated by the State of Florida as set forth in applicable state laws, including, but not limited to, F.S. §§ 790.33.

    Violations of this section shall be a class A violation, punishable as set forth in chapter 18.
